When can you download an Amazon Prime app from the Apple TV App Store? According to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezoz, not until the computer giant — and other set-top streaming box companies — can reach “acceptable business terms.”
Speaking at Re/code’s Code Conference Tuesday, May 31, Bezoz said there needs to be an “amicable money model” agreed upon by Amazon and Apple, according to The Verge.
Amazon Prime is currently available on the company’s Fire TV product, in addition to Roku and PS4. It pulled Chromecasts and Apple TV from its retail store in October 2015.
Prime subscribers can AirPlay content to an Apple TV from an iPad or iPhone today.
Bezoz declined to comment if Apple’s 30 percent cut it takes from App Store revenue was a factor in negotiations.
