How to Watch Long Lost Family Online without Cable

watch long lost family online

TLC went through a revolution in the early 2000s. With shows that showcased life for the “average” family with multiples, or what the world is like for a family of little people, the network became the heart and soul of basic cable. They’ve done it again with the show Long Lost Family. Returning for a second season on Sunday, February 12 at 9 p.m. ET, you can follow hosts Chris Jacobs and Lisa Joyner as they follow individuals who were put up for adoption as children find their biological families. Do you want to watch Long Lost Family online?

Here’s how to watch the Long Lost Family live stream without cable.

Watch the Long Lost Family live Stream on DIRECTV NOW

TLC is included in one of the packages for the brand new streaming service DIRECTV NOW. This product of AT&T doesn’t require a satellite like there traditional service. All you need is a high-speed internet connection and you’ll be able to watch Long Lost Family streaming online live.

The basic package from DIRECTV NOW is $35 per month for a package of 60+ networks. You can check the site to see which package has TLC and what works best for you.

The service is still new, so they are still announcing compatible devices and new features. But, they do offer special deals on streaming devices if you prepay for service, so have a look at the current promotions. There are no restrictions to watching at home or on the go, either.

They also have a really cool grid-style guide similar to those you see on traditional Cable or Satellite services. This may make cutting the cord easier for new customers who want their TV to look familiar.

Stream Long Lost Family Live on PlayStation Vue

Sony’s PlayStation Vue is the only other service that offers the ability to watch the Long Lost Family live stream. Like with DIRECTV NOW, TLC is in one of PlayStation Vue’s packages, so check out the details to learn more.

PlayStation Vue starts as low as $29.99 per month. Or, if you’re in a city that has live, local channels, the cost is $39.99 per month. CBS, NBC, FOX, and ABC are available live in 7 U.S. cities right now. However, the rest of the country has access to network programming on demand the next day.

You can watch PlayStation Vue on PS3/PS4, iOS and Android devices, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast. There is no Apple TV support at this time.

But, new users should be aware that there are restrictions on watching the service away from home. Your account is tied to your home location, so streaming on the go is limited even with the mobile apps.

How Else Can You Watch Long Lost Family Online Without Cable?

Aside from watching the Long Lost Family live stream, we also went in search of options to stream Long Lost Family on demand. We did not see a listing on Hulu. There were also no results on Netflix. Both services occasionally have offerings from TLC, so that may change in the future. And while you can’t watch Long Lost Family online free with Amazon Prime, you can purchase it by the episode or as a complete season on Amazon Instant Video. Once you buy it, you own it and can watch it any time. New episodes for the second season will appear on the site the day after they air, so you can pre-purchase the entire series. This won’t be as good a value as a subscription streaming service, but it does give you an additional option.
